Reading 2008 / Leeds 2008 - tickets and news

Organised by Mean Fiddler the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals are annual three-day multi-stage outdoor music festivals that take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Both venues share the same predominantly guitar-based line-ups, although there is a Dance Stage, Comedy Tent and other after-hours events and activities to satisfy all musical interests.

Leeds Festival also has a stage dedicated to unsigned bands from the North of England.

Reading 2008 will take place at Richfield Avenue (map) with a capacity of around 80,000 ticket holders.

Having moved from its original home at Temple Newsam in 2003, Leeds 2008 will take place at Bramham Park (map) and is set to have a capacity in the region of 70,000.
